Introducing Ifa: A New Four-Star Anemo Character in Genshin Impact
With the upcoming launch of Genshin Impact version 5.6 on May 7, 2025, fans can look forward to the permanent addition of Ifa, a captivating Anemo character hailing from the Natlan region. As the anticipation builds, HoYoVerse has unveiled two intriguing trailers that provide deeper insights into his character and gameplay mechanics.
Gameplay Trailer: “Ifa: The Warmth of Down”
The first trailer, titled “Ifa: The Warmth of Down”, serves as a standard Genshin Impact Collected Miscellany video, showcasing Ifa’s gameplay features. This trailer highlights his role as an on-field DPS character, although it lacks an English voiceover; however, enabling closed captions provides English subtitles for accessible understanding. Ifa’s standard attack can deliver up to three hits, while his charged attack inflicts area-of-effect (AOE) damage.
Ifa’s Skill, known as Airborne Disease Prevention, activates Nightsoul’s Blessing. In combat, he uses Cacucu to hover, simultaneously inflicting damage on enemies and healing allies through a unique mechanic called Tonicshots. His Burst, the Compound Sedation Field, deals Anemo AOE damage and afflicts enemies with Sedation Marks. Additionally, Ifa possesses a passive ability that heals active characters with less than 40% HP when Phlogiston is present in the field.
Character Insight Trailer: “Ifa: Air Patrol”
The second trailer, “Ifa: Air Patrol”, offers a glimpse into Ifa’s personality and daily life. This video places emphasis on his identity as a doctor first and a warrior second, showcasing his multifaceted character. Unlike the previous trailer, this installment features English voice acting and elaborates on his background while still integrating engaging gameplay snippets.
Limited Time Availability
For those eager to add Ifa to their character roster, it’s noteworthy that while he will become a permanent addition post-launch, players will have enhanced chances to acquire him during a limited availability window. Ifa will feature as a focal point in the 5.6 phase one banners, allowing players to pull him more easily, particularly from the new five-star Escoffier banner or the returning Navia banner.
