Enhanced VR and Mixed Reality Support
In addition to new game titles, Nvidia is set to enhance its compatibility with virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) devices. Starting January 21, the GeForce NOW 2.0.70 update will offer support for devices such as Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3 and 3S, as well as Pico 4 and 4 Ultra. This will allow users to stream games directly from the cloud.
Nvidia emphasizes that members can create a personalized gaming theater experience by engaging with their favorite PC games on large virtual screens. “With access to NVIDIA technologies, including ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS in supported titles, users can enjoy an enhanced visual experience characterized by high frame rates and reduced latency,”the company states.
Accessing the New Features
Owners of VR and MR headsets can easily access the GeForce NOW platform by visiting play.geforcenow.com or by downloading the Android-native client from the PICO store. Moreover, Nvidia is working on releasing a native GeForce NOW application for the Steam Deck, although the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed.
