GeForce NOW Expands Library with Hunt: Showdown 1896, Forever Skies and 9 Additional Games This Week

NVIDIA Expands GeForce NOW Library with Exciting New Additions

This week, NVIDIA has enhanced its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, by adding 11 new PC titles to its library. Among the noteworthy entries are Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Forever Skies, both of which promise engaging gameplay experiences for users.

Hunt: Showdown 1896

Created by Crytek, Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter steeped in horror themes. Initially launched in 2019, the game saw a significant revamp with its re-launch in August 2024, showcasing improvements through the advanced CryEngine. Notable features now include support for NVIDIA’s DLSS Super Resolution, contingent upon a premium GeForce NOW subscription. The game benefits from DirectX 12 support, HDR displays, multi-bounce global illumination, and more enhanced graphics capabilities.

Despite recent challenges, including a 15% reduction in its workforce and the postponement of a new Crysis title, Crytek has continued to actively update Hunt: Showdown 1896. The game enjoys a robust player community, with a new downloadable content (DLC) titled Last of the Herd set to release shortly. This expansion will introduce the new playable character, the Plains Warden, along with a unique hunting bow named the Herd Thinner.

Forever Skies

Next up is Forever Skies, the first-person sci-fi survival game from Far From Home. After nearly two years in early access, it has finally launched its long-anticipated version 1.0. This significant update introduces the final chapter of the narrative, alongside fresh biomes, new points of interest, and awe-inspiring colossal creatures to discover.

The 1.0 update also offers players access to new collections, including artifacts and murals, as well as a variety of cosmetic rewards. Players can explore enhanced crafting mechanics, added tools, and resources. Furthermore, performance improvements have been made, showcasing NVIDIA’s DLSS Frame Generation feature, available for Ultimate tier subscribers on GeForce NOW.
