Understanding the Blood Moon Event in Dig
The Blood Moon event is a temporary occurrence in Dig on Roblox, with a respawn rate of every four hours lasting for 20 minutes.
Prior to each event, players receive a notification about the impending Blood Moon, giving them a 12-minute window to prepare. Once it begins, a countdown appears on the screen, accompanied by an event notification with a striking red effect visible to all players.
Schedule for the Dig Blood Moon Event
There’s no need to stay logged in continuously to experience the Blood Moon. Below are the precise times at which the event will take place:

Introducing the Clawed Modifier
Clawed modifierDuring the Blood Moon, players have a 20% chance of discovering the Clawed modifier while digging. This exciting modifier boosts an item’s value by 1.5 times and is visually represented by red claw marks and vibrant red light trails leaving the item.
The Dire Wolf Boss
The highlight of the Blood Moon event is undoubtedly the Dire Wolf boss. It appears one minute after the event begins, allowing players a moment to ready themselves for battle.
Remember, the Dire Wolf is a one-time spawn during each Blood Moon event, specifically located at the ground level of Cinder Cavern (coordinates: 3023, 28, -903).Prepare your strongest shovels, Ninja Headbands, and Monarch Totems to dispatch this foe swiftly. Defeating the Dire Wolf rewards you with between $2, 000 and $3, 500, along with 1, 200 to 1, 400 XP.
Unlocking the Dire Claws Charm
For those fortunate enough, the Blood Moon may grant you the chance to unearth the Dire Claws charm. This rare find has only a 1% probability of being obtained during digs. This unique charm provides a small enhancement to endurance and strength.
Additionally, the Dire Claws charm features a passive ability offering a 15% chance to inflict 20-40 damage to bosses in Dig. Keep in mind that the charm chisel is not applicable for this exclusive item.
Acquiring the Blood Moon Chest in Dig
Aside from digging for Clawed modified items and the Dire Claws charm, players can complete a special journal during this event. Achieving this entails securing Blood Moon chests and defeating the Dire Wolf boss. There are three primary methods to acquire these chests:
First, developers will distribute limited-time Dig codes granting free items, including Blood Moon Chests. Ensure to redeem these codes before they expire. Alternately, you can purchase Blood Moon Chests from the Skeleton Merchant located at coordinates (2037, 112, -391) in Fox Town for $700. During the event, this merchant is exclusively positioned next to the garage in Fox Town.
For players seeking chests without spending, defeating the Dire Wolf in Cinder Cavern will yield between 4 and 7 Blood Moon chests as loot.
