In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players are introduced to a dynamic combat system that emphasizes speed and strategy, often requiring confrontations with multiple adversaries simultaneously. Given the high-stakes nature of these battles, making mistakes can lead to severe repercussions.

During the early stages of the game, maintaining a robust supply of rations—your primary healing items—is essential. Players may find it challenging to gather enough healing supplies in preparation for future skirmishes, but this process quickly becomes intuitive with practice.

Ways to Refill Rations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To restore your healing items in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, there are three effective methods:

• Return to Your Hideout or Kakurega: Access the chest within to refill your supplies.
• Locate Enemy Food Storage: Search for food containers in their camps.
• Visit a Food Vendor: Stop by local vendors in towns or cities.

The most reliable approach to replenish your rations is by returning to your hideout or visiting one of the Kakurega, which function as bases and fast travel points throughout the game. These locations offer various interactive options, including the ability to restore all your consumables like healing items and ammunition.

If you choose to utilize your hideout, you can benefit from the Kakurega structure constructed at the beginning of your journey. Meanwhile, the field-based Kakurega typically has only a single room to navigate for your replenishing needs.

An alternative tactic involves scavenging the environment. Most enemy encampments and fortified strongholds contain food storage boxes, typically tall, square containers with slightly ajar lids. By interacting with these, you can fully restore your health and replenish your rations. Additionally, defeating elite enemies occasionally rewards you with extra rations.

Lastly, while it is not the most convenient method, visiting food vendors in major towns and cities is another way to replenish your supplies. Although this option restores your rations effectively, it requires more travel time since direct fast travel options to these vendors are not available.
