The Mariana’s Veil expansion in Fisch introduces an exciting array of new content, featuring five hidden fish species, one of which is the elusive Crystallized Seadragon. This unique fish, adorned with vibrant crystal scales, is said to guard the area before players confront the Scylla boss. If you’re eager to catch this remarkable aquatic creature, this guide will cover everything you need to know, including the optimal strategies to increase your chances of encountering the Crystallized Seadragon.

Locating the Crystallized Seadragon in Fisch

To successfully capture the Crystallized Seadragon, players must venture into the Calm Zone located within the Mariana’s Veil. This underwater area is deeply submerged, necessitating the use of a submarine equipped with the Deep upgrade and wearing the Glimmerfin Suit Level 3.

Before entering the Calm Zone bestiary, players must capture three secret fish from previous regions: the Magma Leviathan from the Volcanic Vents, the Frozen Leviathan from Challenger’s Deep, and the Crowned Anglerfish from Abyssal Zenith. This step is essential for unlocking the Calm Zone.

For a more efficient journey to the Calm Zone, start your submarine travel from the Challenger’s Deep checkpoint, bypassing encounters with Anglerfishes. Follow these steps:

  • Deploy your upgraded submarine and head towards the entrance of Challenger’s Deep.
  • Descend straight down until the path to the Calm Zone is visible.
  • Continue downward without diverting towards Abyssal Zenith; the path is direct though it may take some time to reach your destination.
  • Look for glowing crystals lining the tunnel; these indicate you are en route to the Calm Zone.

  • Once at the Calm Zone, speak to the Inn Keeper to set your spawn location.
  • Proceed past the NPC into the tunnel and navigate the obstacle course by stepping on the vanishing stones to reach the other side.

  • At the end of the tunnel, you’ll encounter a door that requires you to submit the three secret fishes at their respective pedestals to unlock the Calm Zone bestiary.
  • Upon entering, you’ll find vibrant, rainbow-hued waters where you can fish for the Crystallized Seadragon.

Successfully Catching the Crystallized Seadragon

Catching the Crystallized Seadragon is no small feat, as it is classified as a secret fish with a notably low drop rate of 0.49%. Players should equip themselves with luck-enhancing boosts, such as Merlin’s Luck, Aurora Borealis, or the Server Luck boost pack to improve their chances of a successful catch.

Additional factors can also enhance the likelihood of spawning the Crystallized Seadragon:

  • Preferred Bait: Shark Head
  • Weather Conditions: Windy
  • Season: Spring

You can obtain Shark Head bait by purchasing and opening Quality Bait crates available at Terrapin Island or Atlantis. Additionally, collecting Windset Totems from Snowcap Island can help foster favorable conditions for this secret fish to spawn.

It is advisable to fish at night using a high-luck rod, such as the Heaven’s Rod or the newly introduced Ethereal Prism Rod. However, if you do not possess these premium rods, A-tier and B-tier rods with decent resilience and luck can also yield satisfactory results. For those still lagging behind, leveling up and earning sufficient currency to acquire better rods is recommended.

A higher-tier rod is essential as the Crystallized Seadragon imposes a -95% progress speed penalty when being reeled in, necessitating a rod with at least 30% Resilience. If you’re struggling to catch this elusive creature, consider experimenting with different rods, enchanting them using Enchant Relics or Exalted Relics, and utilizing baits with higher luck statistics like Weird Algae or Night Shrimp. You can also redeem the latest Fisch codes for complimentary bait and bobbers.

These tips and strategies will enhance your probability of catching the Crystallized Seadragon in Fisch. Have you managed to catch this secret fish yet? If so, which rod did you use? Share your experiences and tips in the comments below!
