As of January 16, 2025, the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has officially received Steam Deck verification from Square Enix. It’s worth noting that this wasn’t always the case. In December 2024, Square Enix communicated that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth did not meet the Steam Deck verification status. However, the development team promptly addressed these concerns, committing to enhancing compatibility well ahead of the game’s launch.
