FFXIV Cloud of Darkness Updates: Chaotic Changes Following Player Feedback

Important Update on FFXIV: Chaotic Cloud of Darkness Alliance Raid Changes
Square Enix has recently unveiled significant changes scheduled for patch 7.16 of Final Fantasy XIV, impacting the Chaotic version of the Cloud of Darkness Alliance Raid. This update introduces an essential mechanic: players will now be able to exchange Clouddark Demimateria I for Clouddark Demimateria II, streamlining the progression in the raid.
New Exchange System: What You Need to Know
As you engage in the Cloud of Darkness raid, the loot system will guarantee the acquisition of two Clouddark Demimateria I and one Clouddark Demimateria II per attempt. These items can be traded with Uah’shepya in Solution Nine for an assortment of rewards that may also drop during the raid encounter. It’s noteworthy, however, that Clouddark Demimateria II is restricted to exchanging for two specific items: the Modern Aesthetics hairstyle, A Half Times Two, and the Dais of Darkness mount. Since each of these prized possessions demands multiple Clouddark Demimateria II, this modification is a welcome adjustment for players who are chasing these rewards without relying solely on random drops post-battle.
Official Announcement and Player Feedback
For those interested in the official confirmation of these changes, Square Enix provided an announcement through their social channel. The company has also encouraged players to provide additional feedback regarding the raid, highlighting their commitment to community engagement and ongoing game refinement.
Following feedback regarding the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic), we’ll be adding the ability to exchange several Clouddark Demimateria I for Clouddark Demimateria II in #FFXIV Patch 7.16. We’ll be considering further adjustments based on the comments we receive, and would… pic.twitter.com/vnTRr6C5or
