The highly anticipated game Hollow Knight: Silksong has finally made its debut, opening up a new world in Pharloom teeming with adventure and valuable collectibles. One of the most crucial resources you’ll encounter is Craftmetal, an essential item for crafting and upgrading your gear.
Craftmetal is notably rare, making it a valuable asset when you come across it. This resource can be used at forges, combined with other items like rosaries, to create powerful upgrades that enhance your gameplay experience.
In this guide, we will explore effective strategies for acquiring Craftmetal and highlight key locations to discover this coveted item. Preparation and exploration are key, allowing you to uncover Craftmetal and other treasures hidden throughout the game.
Locations for Finding Craftmetal
Craftmetal can be discovered in various locations across Pharloom. Players who are diligent in their exploration will reap rewards in the form of hidden collectibles, including Craftmetal.
In the initial stages of Silksong, you can find two pieces of Craftmetal. The first is available for purchase at a shop in Bone Bottom, while another piece is cleverly concealed within The Marrow.
Purchasing Craftmetal
After defeating the Moss Mother, players can visit the shop in Bone Bottom for a shopping spree. To make purchases, you’ll need to gather rosary beads, which can often be obtained from tougher adversaries.
Be cautious during your adventures, as dying will result in the loss of any unstrung rosary beads until you reclaim them from your cocoon located where you fell. At Pebb’s shop, you can acquire a piece of Craftmetal for 60 rosaries—a worthwhile investment considering its utility.
Finding Craftmetal in The Marrow
Unlike your shopping experience, finding Craftmetal in The Marrow requires more diligence. Head to the top-right section of this area, which is marked by the Hornet icon on your map.
Look for a wall on the left side of the section. You can break through this wall by attacking it, allowing you to proceed to a hidden chamber below. However, navigate carefully, as there’s a spike pit waiting at the bottom.
On the far right side of the pit, you will encounter another destructible wall. Attack it, but be wary of the chain reaction that follows. Once the area is safe, you can strike the Craftmetal until it drops, securing your prize.
Utilizing Craftmetal
To put Craftmetal to good use, journey to the Deep Docks and locate the Forge Daughter. Be sure you’ve completed the Bell Beast quest to unlock fast travel, simplifying your journey.
The Forge Daughter can be found just past the nearest bench in the area, conveniently marked with character and shop icons. At this stage, you should have accrued enough rosary beads and Craftmetal to purchase several items.
The tools she offers are invaluable for confronting the multitude of new adversaries lurking in the game. Acquiring a variety of upgrades allows you to strategize and effectively deal damage from a distance, enhancing your chances of survival and success.
