Nvidia Unveils New Developments at CES 2025

At the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Nvidia showcased an impressive array of new hardware and artificial intelligence innovations. Among the highlights were the eagerly anticipated RTX 50 series graphics processing units (GPUs) tailored for both desktop and laptop configurations. Additionally, the debut of DLSS 4 featuring Multi Frame Generation captured attention, signaling a significant advancement in gaming technologies.

New Additions to GeForce NOW

Despite the focus on hardware, Nvidia has not neglected its GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform, which is set to welcome six exciting new titles this week. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing its service for cloud gaming enthusiasts.

Marvel Rivals Joins the Roster

Making waves this week is the inclusion of the free-to-play sensation, Marvel Rivals, coinciding with its Season 1 launch for users on Steam. Additionally, the Epic Games Store version of DREDGE and Kingdom Come: Deliverance from the Xbox Store are also part of this update.

Complete List of New Games

  • Road 96 (New release on Xbox, available on PC Game Pass, Jan. 7)
  • Builders of Egypt (New release on Steam, Jan. 8)
  • DREDGE (Epic Games Store)
  • Drova – Forsaken Kin (Steam)
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Xbox, available on Microsoft Store)
  • Marvel Rivals (Steam, launching in the cloud with Season 1)

Upcoming Titles and Access Requirements

Nvidia has also confirmed the day-one support of two highly anticipated first-party titles: Obsidian’s fantasy RPG Avowed and DOOM: The Dark Ages, developed by id Software. It is important to note that access to games on the GeForce NOW platform requires owners to possess a copy or license, such as through PC Game Pass, to begin gameplay.

New Playtime Caps and Expansion Plans

Additionally, Nvidia has implemented new playtime caps within GeForce NOW, requiring subscribers to purchase additional playtime if they exceed their allotted hours. In a move to broaden accessibility, the company announced that GeForce NOW will receive a dedicated application for the Steam Deck, allowing users to access the service seamlessly on portable gaming devices.

Looking ahead, 2025 will mark a significant expansion for GeForce NOW, as the service aims to launch in India, facilitating cloud gaming access for a rapidly growing audience in the region.
