Hailing from the secluded Enclave, an ancient civilization, Brynne’s quest is underscored by an intriguing narrative. The upcoming update aims to address player feedback regarding character movement. Many users have expressed concerns about Brynne’s control responsiveness. While the physics-based gameplay influences her acceleration and deceleration, Yellow Brick Games plans to refine this experience. After the update, Brynne will achieve target speed and decelerate more swiftly, alleviating the “slipping”effect. Furthermore, shifts in direction will be more responsive, enhancing the overall intuitiveness of movement while preserving the game’s physics-driven core.
Combat also receives significant improvements, with enemies reacting more quickly and noticeably to player attacks. A new directional hit reaction system promises enhanced realism in combat interactions. Furthermore, weapon effectiveness will receive fine-tuning, notably for the Two-Handed Blade and Sword & Shield, with adjustments to speed and reliability. Players can expect intensified impact visual effects, enhanced controller vibration feedback, and a revised death penalty that spares players from losing loot due to accidental falls, significantly easing the tension during perilous climbs and jumps.
A free DLC update is set to launch in Spring 2025, in collaboration with renowned concept artist Yusuke Mogi. This exciting expansion will feature new armor sets, weapon skins, an additional map, and a novel magic power. Players will be able to dye their gear, access Oria’s tips and tricks, and benefit from numerous bug fixes. Looking ahead to Summer 2025, additional content is already in development, including a mysterious partnership with Grasshopper Manufacture. With player feedback at the forefront, Yellow Brick Games is clearly dedicated to enhancing the Eternal Strands gameplay experience.
