Upon reaching the large door where Caterina is held, defeat the guard to enter and trigger a cutscene. Shortly thereafter, you will engage Illario himself. Before you face Illario, take down any remaining Venatori guards.

Consequences of Your Choice

If you opt to imprison Illario, Lucanis will gain the “Demon of Defiance”(Veilguard Skill) and “Crow’s Tenacity”(Heroic Armor). Alternatively, should you choose mercy, you will receive “Demon of Rebellion”(Veilguard Skill) and “Crow’s Poise”(Heroic Armor). Regardless of your decision, the quest concludes with Caterina endorsing Lucanis as the new First Talon.

Additionally, completing this quest alongside Lucanis enhances his approval rating, thereby increasing the prospects for a potential romance between your character and him in future gameplay.
