Disney Dreamlight Valley: Complete Guide to the “Bring Your Own Carpet” Quest (Aladdin’s Second Friendship Mission)

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can embark on the exciting quest titled “Bring Your Own Carpet, ”where they have the opportunity to ride their very own Magic Carpet, an ability introduced by Aladdin. While players have previously had the experience of riding the classic Magic Carpet during the “Carpet Diem”quest, it was primarily available as a companion. This quest unlocks the full experience of riding the carpet.

The “Bring Your Own Carpet”quest becomes available once you foster a strong friendship with Aladdin. Building this bond is straightforward; players can engage in various activities with him or gift him his favorite items to naturally increase friendship levels.

How to Activate the “Bring Your Own Carpet”Quest

To trigger the quest, ensure that Aladdin reaches friendship level four. Additionally, have Minnie as an unlocked villager, since she plays a crucial role in this adventure. Upon reaching the required friendship level, Aladdin will present you with an invitation to ride a Magic Carpet around the village.

Upon accepting the offer, Aladdin will send you to Merlin to learn more about the magical properties of flying carpets. Merlin directs you to the Dreamlight Library, where you will search for three specific books related to the magic of carpets. Interact with the highlighted areas to collect these items and return them to Aladdin. He will inform you that he will handle the magic aspect, while you should seek out Minnie to assist in sewing the carpet.

Minnie kindly agrees to help, but first, she needs materials that you must gather throughout Disney Dreamlight Valley:

• Dreamshard x4: Can be collected by clearing Night Thorns, feeding critters, and digging in sparkling spots.
• Blue Hydrangea x4: Found in Dazzle Beach.
• Purple Bell Flower x4: Located in the Forest of Valor.
• Fiber x25: Created at the crafting station using Seaweed.

After collecting all materials, head over to Aladdin’s house but make sure that everything is in your inventory. Aladdin will then provide you with a Magic Scroll needed to enhance the carpet.

How to Ride the Magic Carpet

Once you have your Magic Carpet, Aladdin will take you to Dreamlight Castle, where you will embark on a special tour. He has prepared a unique experience for you to ride the Magic Carpet and explore the valley from a different angle. To equip your carpet, simply go to the Wardrobe and select the Dreamlight Magic Carpet from the Gliders section. Now, you can use Energy for faster movement by riding your Magic Carpet.

During the tour, be sure to glide under the designated banners outlined in your quest menu, ultimately leading you to the docks at Dazzle Beach. Conclude your adventure by speaking with Aladdin one final time to successfully complete the “Bring Your Own Carpet”quest.
