In Destiny Rising, players have the exciting opportunity to assemble a formidable team of legendary Guardians, each ready to confront the relentless waves of Fallen, Hive, and Cabal adversaries. It’s important to note, however, that not all heroes are available simultaneously as the game features a dynamic roster system.

The mechanism that governs the character availability in gacha games is typically known as the “Banner”. Upon the game’s launch, an initial permanent Banner was introduced. This allowed players to roll for three Mythic characters: the resilient Titan, Jolder, the dual-natured Solar support character, Tan-2, and the agile Arc hero, Ning Fei.

Additionally, this Banner included a selection of Legendary characters such as Kabr, Ikora, Finnala, Attal, and Xuan Wei. Following this, another Mythic character, Gwynn, received her own launch Banner. Shortly thereafter, two weeks post-launch, the Mythic character Estela and Legendary character Umeko were made available.

With the inclusion of the base character, Wolf, players currently have access to a total of 12 characters within Destiny Rising. If you’re seeking guidance on which characters to prioritize rolling for, our comprehensive Destiny Rising Tier List serves as an invaluable resource.

Understanding the Pity Timer Mechanic

In gacha games, the concept of a “pity timer”is crucial. This mechanic ensures that players receive a specific rarity character or a desired character after a certain number of rolls. In the context of Destiny Rising Banners, the pity timer is typically set to 60 rolls.

For Banners featuring multiple Mythic characters, players are guaranteed at least one Mythic character after 60 rolls. Conversely, in Banners with a single Mythic character, the same guarantee applies.

While this mechanic may not directly help in fully developing a character—since filling out their Talent Tree requires six iterations—it does provide a pathway for players to explore and experience various characters, enhancing gameplay.
