This signals the need to engage Sam’s combat mode. Interact with the lab’s terminal to accept the mission and begin strategizing your loadout for the impending battle.
While the arsenal available at this early game stage is limited, you can still prepare effectively. Fabricate at least three Assault Rifles [MP] and three Blood Grenades to optimize your attack strength. For defense, you should create two Blood Bags and one Battle Skeleton. Additionally, consuming energy drinks and cryptobiotes in your private room will bolster Sam’s vitality.
Also, it’s wise to leave behind unnecessary items, such as ladders and PCCs, as their weight may hinder your movements during the confrontation.

To take him down, target the glowing red crack on his forehead, which signifies his vulnerability.
Strategies to Defeat the Giant BT
Though the Giant BT’s appearance may be intimidating, this guide will equip you to handle the encounter effectively.
As the battle commences, maintain a safe distance from the enemy and swiftly equip your Assault Rifle. Whenever his head opens, revealing the red glow, it’s your cue to unleash your firepower for maximum damage.
Mobility is crucial; keep Sam on the move to evade his tendril strikes. If he begins to throw heavy objects, use a dodge maneuver (aim + push “X”) to sidestep the incoming projectiles.
When the Giant BT activates his suction attack, focus all fire—utilizing both the Assault Rifles and Blood Grenades—on the red crack to interrupt his attack. If Sam is knocked off balance, press L2+R2 to stabilize him and retreat as far as possible from the boss.
