Death end re;Quest: Code Z Set for PS4 and PS5 Release

Idea Factory International has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated horror JRPG, Death end re;Quest: Code Z. This title will be available both digitally and in physical format, with a special physical edition. Enthusiastic fans can also opt for a $89.99/£84.99/€89.99 limited edition, which will be sold exclusively through the developer’s online store.

Collector’s Edition Details

The limited edition of Death end re;Quest: Code Z features an exciting array of collectibles. Here are the items included:

  • Padded Mouse Pad: Showcasing the heroine Sayaka, complete with the game’s logo.
  • Official Art Book and Stories Volume: This book delves into the game’s development and provides deeper insights into its captivating world.
  • Soundtrack CD: Enjoy the immersive music that accompanies the game.
  • Trading Card: An exclusive trading card will also be included with every purchase from IFI’s Online Store.

Platform Availability Update

It’s important to note that Death end re;Quest: Code Z will not launch on as many platforms as initially anticipated. While the PS4 and PS5 versions are set for release as planned, the Nintendo Switch version was canceled as of December 2024. The reasons for this change were not disclosed by Idea Factory International. Additionally, this cancellation follows similar decisions for the Switch versions of other titles, including Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth series.

Release Date Confirmation

Mark your calendars! Death end re;Quest: Code Z is set to launch on PS4 and PS5 outside Japan on May 13, 2025. The game is already available on these consoles in Japan, allowing fans there to dive into the haunting narrative ahead of its global release.
