In Dynasty Warriors Origins, players assume the role of a warrior afflicted by amnesia, embarking on a journey through a ravaged and morally compromised landscape. As you battle enemies and uncover the mystery of “Ziluan, ”you will enhance your abilities and discover new strategies.
Engaging in battles allows you to unlock a variety of weapons and skills, paving the way for diverse character builds. The key components for these builds are Accessories and Gems.
Your journey will necessitate gathering Pyroxene, a vital resource for crafting powerful gems. Each type of gem possesses unique abilities, making Pyroxene farming essential for optimizing gameplay. Here’s a detailed guide on how to efficiently collect Pyroxene and leverage it for gem crafting.
How to Collect Pyroxene in Dynasty Warriors Origins
Look for Pyroxene deposits scattered throughout the game world. These are identifiable by their spiky, orangish-red appearance. To gather them, approach a node and interact with it using the assigned control (press “A”or click the left mouse button).
Additionally, you can occasionally find Pyroxene as rewards from letters, though this method is less reliable compared to gathering from the overworld. It’s also beneficial to collect Old Coins.
During Chapter 2, you encounter an NPC named Sima Hui, who grants access to the Shui Jing Retreat Waypoint. Here, you can check your Old Coin inventory, and upon collecting sufficient coins, you will receive Pyroxene as a reward.
Note that Old Coins are distinct from Gold, which can be used for purchasing various items at shops.
Optimal Strategies for Farming Pyroxene
The ideal point to start farming Pyroxene is after completing the game’s first chapter. This milestone unlocks the “Eyes of the Sacred Bird”ability and activates numerous Waypoints.
Utilize fast travel to the Jing Province to begin your farming journey. While you can choose any waypoint, starting here has proven effective.
From Baqiu Port, cross the Chibi Sea. Although Pyroxene nodes may not appear immediately in this area, it refreshes the overworld, potentially reloading dormant nodes across the map.
Once you’re back on land, use your horse and the Eyes of the Sacred Bird ability to easily identify newly spawned Pyroxene nodes.
Continue your search by heading north across the Yellow River toward Beiping. Note that due to the random spawn nature of the nodes, there are no fixed locations, so vigilance is essential.
Once you’ve gathered an adequate amount of Pyroxene, you can fast travel back to the Jing Province or retrace your steps until satisfied with your collection.
Crafting Gems with Pyroxene in Dynasty Warriors Origins
After accumulating Pyroxene, visit any Inn to convert it into gems. Access the “Create Gems”feature from the Inn’s main menu.
Each Pyroxene yields one gem. You can craft up to five different kinds of gems, and any duplicates will be used to upgrade existing gems rather than count as additional items.
Note that you cannot choose the specific gem; crafting is random. However, when some gems emit a glow, crafting them during this time will guarantee their specific types rather than random ones.
Types of Gems
Gem Ability Oblivion Gem Increases your Attack Range. Vortex Gem Deals extra damage to airborne enemies. Scorch Gem Deals extra damage to enemies after successful parries. Wellspring Gem Restores a portion of health after defeating every 100 enemies. Ascendance Gem Grants a chance to automatically block attacks from enemy officers.There isn’t a definitive “best”gem; the optimal selection relies on your character build and playstyle. For instance, if you lack skills that increase health from consumables, the Wellspring Gem may be particularly advantageous.
Conversely, skilled players adept at parrying may find the Scorch Gem’s added damage beneficial.
