Inspired by the beloved Animal Crossing franchise, the MySims Cozy Bundle reintroduces players to a charming world of town management and quirky villagers. This spin-off of The Sims series replaces the usual themes of life and loss with a chibi aesthetic and a focus on personalized community interactions. Available for the Nintendo Switch, the bundle features remastered versions of the early titles in this dormant series.

In the MySims Cozy Bundle, players will encounter a diverse cast of characters who can become cherished neighbors and friends. While the first game focuses on inviting characters to your town, MySims Kingdom expands the experience across an archipelago where players engage with residents on various islands. Both games include unique character interests that shape their personalities and preferences.

Comprehensive Character Interest Overview

To guide you through the colorful cast in the MySims Cozy Bundle, we have compiled a detailed list of every MySims character along with their respective interests and dislikes. Each character’s unique traits can help you determine who aligns best with your design preferences when creating your neighborhood.

Notably, characters returning from the original game to MySims Kingdom may have differing primary interests; we indicate these adjustments for clarity. Characters exclusive to Kingdom will lack secondary interests or dislikes, as these attributes were specifically designed for MySims.

Understanding Interests in MySims Cozy Bundle

Interests are a central mechanic in both MySims and MySims Kingdom, albeit serving slightly different purposes in each title.

In the original MySims, interests significantly contribute to building relationships between your avatar and other characters. Customizing a neighbor’s home with items that resonate with their interests will yield relationship points, with greater rewards for aligning with their primary interest. Conversely, incorporating objects that a character dislikes may result in reduced relationship scores unless balanced by positive associations from their other interests.

The original MySims features six key interest categories: Cute, Fun, Geeky, Spooky, Studious, and Tasty. Each character identifies with three interests: a primary interest, a secondary interest, and one they actively dislike, while maintaining neutrality towards the remaining categories.

In contrast, MySims Kingdom utilizes interests in a different context. Each character still has a defined interest, influencing their personality, but the inclusion of relevant designs does not elicit a direct emotional response in relationships. Instead, leveraging interests links to quest success—players must integrate character interests into designs to meet quest objectives without affecting relationship scores directly.

The interest categories in MySims Kingdom expand to nine but lack a dedicated Structure interest. The available categories include Cute, Domestic, Elegant, Food, Fun, Nature, Spooky, and Tech. Unlike the previous game, each character here is defined by just a single interest, mirroring the primary interest from MySims, with no secondary interests or dislikes.
