Donkey Kong Country Returns HD marks the latest iteration of the beloved franchise, originally launched on the Wii. For fans of previous 2D side-scrolling adventures, the game feels familiar yet refreshingly new, thanks to its enhanced graphics and gameplay features.

Even in the initial stages, players will need precision and skill, especially when striving for a perfect score by collecting all items scattered throughout the levels. If you’re finding it challenging to achieve 100% completion in the “King of Cling”level, this guide will lead you to every collectible within.

Locations of Collectible Letters

The letter ‘K’ is nestled near the beginning of the level. To access it, leap onto the crumbling stone block to reach a ledge that contains a DK Barrel. Look toward the right, where you will find the first letter waiting for your arrival.

The letter ‘O’ can be located in an area featuring two spinning wheels in the background. To reach them, ground pound the flower situated on the platform between two bridges, which causes a barrel to appear. Enter this barrel to be launched to the other side, where you can use the spinning wheels to ascend and find ‘O’ above.

Moving on, the letter ‘N’ is situated not far from the sixth puzzle piece’s location. Continue ahead until you reach a section flanked by two wheels and grassy ledges. Head to the right side and descend the grassy wall to uncover the letter ‘N’.

Finally, the letter ‘G’ awaits near the level’s end. In the area filled with bouncy flowers and rotating adversaries, navigate to the right side of the room, where ‘G’ is positioned close to one of the enemies.

Puzzle Piece Locations

Your adventure to find puzzle pieces begins near the first letter location. Next to where ‘K’ hovers, there exists a hidden platform. At its end, you will discover the initial puzzle piece. Use Diddy’s jetpack skill for an easier ascent here.

Upon reaching the first spinning wheel, which has grass atop it, utilize it to reach a small ledge and then leap leftward. This path leads to a hidden section containing your second puzzle piece.

Shortly after the second puzzle piece, you’ll discover a platform after passing the initial spinning wheel. Jump rightward to unearth another concealed area housing the third puzzle piece.

Right after obtaining ‘O’, ascend to the top to reveal a hidden barrel. This barrel will launch you into a mini-game where your goal is to collect bananas and coins before the timer runs out. Successfully completing the mini-game unlocks the fourth puzzle piece. If you fall, you will need to restart the level to access the mini-game once more.

After retrieving ‘O’, you’ll notice a massive flower attempting to consume you while crossing a chasm. On the grassy ledge here, look for an upside-down flower. Hit it while climbing to unveil the fifth puzzle piece, being cautious to time your attack effectively.

Furthermore, following the checkpoint, navigate through an area requiring wall climbing and dodging plants. The sixth puzzle piece lies beneath the DK Barrel; approach the right alcove to find a rock that will shift, revealing the puzzle piece tucked away.

Finally, the last puzzle piece can be found in the subsequent area after locating ‘N’. Traverse the flower path and make your way toward the rock. As you approach, the rock will shift to disclose the final puzzle piece.

Mastering the Time Attack mode for this level, or any level, relies heavily on practice. The more familiar you become with the level’s layout and potential hazards, the more efficiently you can navigate through it.
