Epic Games Store Offers Exciting Double Freebie with Indie Titles

The Epic Games Store is kicking off another enticing free game event, this time featuring a double giveaway. Replacing last week’s popular offer of Super Space Club, players can now secure copies of two lesser-known indie games: Deadtime Defenders and Touch Type Tale. As usual, gamers have a week to claim these titles and permanently add them to their Epic library.

Exploring Deadtime Defenders

Deadtime Defenders presents itself as a dynamic single-player looter shooter infused with RPG elements. Players are tasked with safeguarding humanity from eerie monsters emerging from parallel dimensions while hunting for powerful upgrades. You can customize your character, partake in various game modes featuring randomly generated loot, and ultimately pursue rare gear in an engaging endgame experience.

In conjunction with this giveaway, the arcade title by Arcane Embers is officially launching out of early access. The version 1.0 update introduces a captivating single-player story campaign, three levels of difficulty, a suite of achievements, support for Steam Deck, and a range of enhancements that elevate gameplay.

Diving into Touch Type Tale

Next in the lineup is Touch Type Tale, a real-time strategy game that spices up traditional mechanics with a unique typing component. Instead of the conventional mouse and keyboard controls, players command their troops, manage resources, and construct facilities by typing words displayed on the screen. This innovative gameplay mechanic supports thirteen languages and includes various difficulty modes to challenge your typing skills.

As described by the developers at Pumpernickel Studio:

Your fingers… Yes, those. They are astonishingly nimble! I have never seen their like. Use them to type your way through a strategic challenge like no other. Become the unlikely hero of Minsteria, whose vacant throne is vulnerable to the grasping hands of sly nobles and warmongering bandits.

Details on the Giveaway

The free giveaways for Deadtime Defenders and Touch Type Tale are live on the Epic Games Store, running until next Thursday, May 15. Be sure to grab these indie gems before they are replaced with the next exciting offer.
