Addressing Past Allegations
It is important to note that Chris Avellone faced allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct in June 2020, which led to severed ties with several organizations including Techland, Gato Salvaje, and Paradox Interactive. At the time, he was involved with projects like Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
In response to these allegations, Avellone published a lengthy statement on Medium and subsequently pursued legal action, resulting in the retraction of the claims and a substantial compensation in favor of Avellone.
As of now, Avellone has not commented on his new role at Republic Games, but updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
