In an exciting development for fans of Honkai: Star Rail, the next character confirmed for the upcoming 3.5 update is the mesmerizing Chrysos Heir Cerydra. Official artwork for Cerydra has recently been showcased on social media platforms, generating a buzz among the community.

Cerydra’s Background and Role

Cerydra is known as the Chessmaster Monarch, firmly aligning herself with themes of law and order. She serves under Talanton, the Scale of Justice. Cerydra joins the ranks of other notable characters such as Aglaea, Castorice, Hisilens, Hyacine, and Phainon, all linked to Okhema in the vibrant world of Amphoreus. As a significant addition, she will be a five-star unit, enhancing the tactical options available to players.

Ability Overview

Adhering to the path of Harmony, Cerydra is designed as a supportive character in battles, focusing on assisting and amplifying the strengths of her teammates. While her primary role is not as an attacker, when she does engage, she will unleash Wind damage, marking her as the second five-star Harmony character to do so in the game. The first to occupy this role was Bronya, who has been integral to the game since its initial release.

Comparative Analysis

With the introduction of Cerydra, players can anticipate the presence of another Chrysos Heir, Hisilens (Helektra), in the 3.5 update. Interestingly, while Hisilens may share similarities with the Thirteen Flame-Chaser member Eden from Honkai Impact 3rd, Cerydra does not appear to have a direct counterpart. Her aesthetic, characterized by a striking blue color palette, unique hairstyle, and a crown-like headpiece, makes her reminiscent of Furina, the Hydro Archon from Genshin Impact. Observers are eagerly awaiting to see how this comparison holds up once Cerydra makes her in-game debut.
