Capcom Reveals Street Fighter 6 Sales Reach Over 5 Million Copies Since Launch

Street Fighter 6 Reaches a Significant Sales Milestone
Capcom has proudly announced that Street Fighter 6 has achieved a remarkable 5 million copies sold, as confirmed in a recent update shared on the game’s official X account. This landmark achievement comes just shy of two years after the game was launched on June 2, 2023.
“Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 5 million copies! What a way to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! Thanks to all our fans out there around the world and to all the prospective fans in the future!”- Capcom
Capcom’s Chart-Topping Success
This announcement reflects Capcom’s outstanding business performance in recent history. Remarkably, this sales feat has been reached less than a year after the game celebrated its previous milestone of 4 million units sold.
Potential to Become the Series’ Best-Seller
Achieving 5 million copies in just two years positions Street Fighter 6 to potentially become the top-selling title in the entire Street Fighter franchise. Currently, the record is held by Street Fighter 5, which sold over 7 million copies since its initial launch in 2016. If the trend continues, Capcom may announce Street Fighter 6 as the leading title by its three-year anniversary.
Exciting New Content Ahead
In addition to this impressive sales news, Capcom has recently revealed the Year 3 roster of fighters set to join Street Fighter 6 between summer 2023 through spring 2026. Fans can anticipate the arrival of iconic characters, including:
- Sagat – Coming in Summer 2025
- C. Viper – Arriving in Fall 2025
- Alex – Expected in Early Spring 2026
- Ingrid – Joining Later in Spring 2026
These additions promise to enhance the game’s already robust roster, keeping players engaged and eagerly anticipating new battles.
