Every new season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone brings an exciting array of content. This includes new maps, weapons, and themed cosmetic items for players to enhance their gaming experience, allowing them to express individuality in matches.

Central to the seasonal offerings is the Battle Pass system, designed to reward players with unlockable content as they engage in gameplay. The system consists of a free tier that players can access through in-game actions, alongside a premium version that provides a wider variety of rewards. Players benefit from an automatic Token Bank feature that facilitates seamless reward redemption as players earn them.

Disabling Auto Claim Token Bank in Black Ops 6 & Warzone

To turn off the Auto Token Bank feature in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, players must first purchase the Battle Pass. This setting is exclusively available to Battle Pass holders. After acquiring the pass, players should navigate to the Battle Pass section in the main menu. There, they can find the ‘Auto’ option in the top right corner, select the appropriate command, and switch the setting to ‘Auto Claim: Off.’

Previously, individuals participating as free-to-play users had the ability to turn off Auto Token Banking without needing to buy the premium pass. However, the return of the linear Battle Pass format in Black Ops 6 means only those who purchase the Battle Pass can manually select rewards, while free-to-play participants must redeem items in a predetermined sequence.

Understanding the Battle Pass Auto Claim Mechanism

The new system restricts non-Battle Pass owners to a fixed progression path, which complicates their efforts to unlock rewards on later tiers. For example, free-to-play users must clear three and then six complete Battle Pass pages before access to High-Value Target (HVT) items is granted. This sequential requirement makes it significantly more demanding to attain essential items compared to their premium counterparts.

Players investing in the premium Battle Pass enjoy more flexible reward selection; they can bypass certain pages and prioritize the rewards that interest them. Nevertheless, they must still meet a minimum number of unlocks before moving on to advanced pages within the Battle Pass structure.

This adjustment in the Battle Pass system adds a compelling reason for free-to-play players to consider purchasing the Battle Pass. By doing so, they gain smoother access to rewards and mitigate the imbalance they may feel otherwise. In contrast to earlier versions where players could indiscriminately select rewards, the current framework nudges non-paying users towards making a purchase to remain competitive in progression against premium players.
