NVIDIA Welcomes the Borderlands Franchise to GeForce NOW

NVIDIA has exciting news for gamers: the beloved Borderlands franchise is now accessible through the GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform. This includes the main series games, excluding the spin-off title, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. It’s worth noting that 2K Games was initially skeptical about the service, withdrawing support when GeForce NOW transitioned from beta back in early 2020.

A Shift in Strategy

Recently, however, the landscape appears to have shifted. Just last month, titles from the Mafia franchise returned to GeForce NOW, hinting at a potential reconciliation between 2K and NVIDIA. Now, fans can dive into Gearbox’s iconic first-person looter shooter games, and there’s even more good news on the horizon: the highly anticipated Borderlands 4 will be available to stream on its launch day. While its system requirements remain relatively modest, this is certainly a welcome development for players eager to continue their adventures in Pandora.

Future Additions and Speculations

The Civilization franchise is already among the titles available on GeForce NOW, leaving players to wonder about the fate of other popular 2K franchises. Notably, games like BioShock, X-COM, and various sports titles, including NBA, WWE, and PGA Tour, have yet to make their debut on the platform. Will we see these additions in the future? Only time will reveal if 2K will expand its presence on GeForce NOW.
