Locating a Metal Detector in Atomfall
Your quest for a Metal Detector begins in Slatten Dale, the first region you explore. Here, you will encounter several NPCs, particularly Nat and Molly. Molly has a Metal Detector available for trade; however, trading your hard-earned goods may not be necessary.

On a rock in the center of the pond, you’ll find the Outlaw’s corpse.

Access your inventory to activate the Metal Detector, revealing a small dial with five illuminating lights. Progress slowly through the area until all lights turn red and the beeping intensifies—this signals that it’s time to dig!
If only one light shines on either side of the Metal Detector, it’s a directional hint indicating which way to orient yourself to get closer to the treasure.
