Assassin’s Creed Shadows 1.0.2 Patch: PSSR Support for PS5 Pro, Enhanced Image Quality and More Features

New Patch for Assassin’s Creed Shadows Enhances Gameplay Across Platforms
The latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, version 1.0.2, has been launched for both PC and console platforms, introducing a range of exciting features and enhancements. Among the most notable upgrades is the inclusion of PSSR support for the PlayStation 5 Pro, which improves visual experiences for gamers.
Enhanced Visual Experience with PSSR Support
The introduction of PSSR (Performance-Optimized Spatial Upscaling and Reprojection) marks a significant step forward for gamers utilizing the PS5 Pro. This AI-driven upscaling technology, which first appeared with last year’s mid-generation refresh, enhances visual fidelity. It pairs well with the newly added Raytraced Specular in Balanced Mode, aligning its visual quality closer to the PS5 Pro’s Quality Mode compared to its Performance Mode.
For new players diving into Assassin’s Creed Shadows on the PS5 Pro, the PSSR feature will be activated by default. For those continuing their journey from previous versions, it can be easily turned on via the video settings in the pause menu.
Insights from ElAnalistaDeBits
Following the patch release, popular gaming channel ElAnalistaDeBits shared a comprehensive comparison video showcasing the benefits of PSSR. According to their analysis, the patch improves image quality, particularly through better anti-aliasing. However, it’s worth noting that some issues persist, including reduced sharpening and reflections, which echo challenges seen in other gaming titles.
