PlayStation Plus Free Games for April 2025

Starting this month, subscribers to the PlayStation Plus ‘Essential’ tier can enjoy three complimentary games. However, from April 15, 2025, members of the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers will also have the opportunity to access additional free titles.

New Additions to the Game Catalog

According to an announcement on the PlayStation Blog, a total of six games will be added to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog. Additionally, two nostalgic classics are set to join the PS Plus Premium collection, one from the original PlayStation and the other hailing from the PS2 era.

Titles Available for PS Plus Extra Subscribers

The lineup for Extra and Premium members includes:

  • Hogwarts Legacy – A major hit from 2023
  • Blue Prince – A new puzzle game launching on April 10
  • Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 2
  • EA Sports PGA Tour
  • Battlefield 1
  • Plate Up!

Classic Games Reintroduced

For those nostalgic for gaming history, the two classic titles include:

  • Alone in the Dark 2 – A beloved title from the original PlayStation
  • War of the Monsters – A popular game from the PS2 era

Highlight: Blue Prince

Among the eight games being released, Hogwarts Legacy shines as the most notable. However, the buzz is largely focused on Blue Prince, a newly launched puzzle game developed by Dogubomb and published by Raw Fury. Recent reviews have highlighted it as a potential blockbuster, boasting the highest score for a game released in 2025 according to Metacritic.

Critics are calling it a masterpiece in the puzzle genre, making it a must-try for fans of the gameplay style. Notably, Xbox players will also have access to Blue Prince, available through Xbox Game Pass upon its release.
