Avowed: A Guide on Changing Your Companion’s Outfits

In the immersive world of Avowed, players can encounter various Companion characters who not only assist in battle but also offer valuable insights during conversations and aid throughout their journey. While the aesthetic appearance of Companions remains fixed, players have the opportunity to customize their outfits by selecting from a limited set of options, provided these have been unlocked.

The ability to swap Companion outfits is contingent upon whether players own the Standard or Premium edition of Avowed. This guide will elucidate the process for acquiring and changing Companion skins within the game.

Unlocking Alternate Companion Outfits in Avowed

To access additional Companion outfits, players are required to purchase the Avowed Premium Edition. This upgraded version includes a plethora of in-game bonuses, featuring two exclusive outfits for every Companion.

Upon launching the game, these outfits will be immediately available without any prerequisites, aside from progressing to the point where changing Companion outfits is possible.

The standard price of the Avowed Premium Edition is $90. However, if you are utilizing Xbox Game Pass to play Avowed, the upgrade cost is reduced to $25. Please note that acquiring this upgrade through Game Pass will not include access to the base game in the event that it is removed from the Game Pass catalog.

Changing Companion Outfits in Avowed

To modify the clothing of Companions, players must first establish a camp. After completing the tutorial section and recruiting Kai in Dawnshore, venture northward from the port toward Ivona’s Threshold Adra Stone. Interact with the Adra Stone to set up your initial Party Camp.

Virtually any Adra Stone discovered throughout Avowed can serve as a site for creating a party camp; simply interact with it or fast-travel to it once it’s unlocked.

Once you are situated at camp, find the tent located to the right of the Adra Stone, identifiable by a small clothing icon at its entrance.

• If you possess the Avowed Premium Edition, you can freely change Companion outfits by interacting with this tent.
• Players with the Standard edition will be able to access the Companion Outfit Tent and view the menu, though only the default skin will be selectable.

Each Companion in Avowed can wear three distinct outfits: the default skin, which is available to all players; the Eora skin; and the Obsidian skin.

After making your selections, exit the menu and approach your Companions at camp to see them instantly donned in their new outfits! This customization is not permanent; you can revisit the Companion Outfit tent anytime while at camp to make further changes.
