Ninja Gaiden 4 Introduces a Fresh Lead Character

While the legendary Ryu Hayabusa returns in Ninja Gaiden 4, the narrative will center around a new protagonist named Yakumo. As highlighted by producer and director Yuji Nakao of PlatinumGames, this shift intends to make the game more inviting for those unfamiliar with the franchise’s expansive lore. Nonetheless, the game will serve as a direct sequel to 2013’s Ninja Gaiden 3, with Ryu Hayabusa playing a crucial role in the unfolding story. Although players will later control Ryu, the developers suggest that this character may not be available from the outset.
