When Will Other Trainers Be Introduced in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Blue Takes the Spotlight as the First Trainer Without Premium Currency

The inclusion of Blue alongside Blastoise in this event is rooted in their significant presence in recent in-game events. Notably, Blue appeared in the Mythical Island set and is actively featured in the ongoing Blastoise Drop event, which emphasizes solo play. Additionally, a new alternate art promo card for Blastoise was introduced, focusing on battles against decks centered around this powerful Water-type Pokémon.

Our Perspective: Farewell for Now, Blue!

Pokémon TCG Pocket Should Expand Trainer Features, Starting with Blue

Choosing Blue as the first trainer for this themed event is a strategic move; being the original rival character and a key player in the Pokémon lore, Blue holds a special place in the hearts of fans. His association with Blastoise adds another layer of excitement for both veteran players and newcomers alike. It is refreshing to see that the Pokémon TCG Pocket is emphasizing broader aspects of the franchise beyond just the Pokémon themselves.

The traditional Pokémon TCG excels at bringing non-playable characters (NPCs) to life through intricate card art, a feature sometimes overlooked in the actual games. This trend should definitely continue in Pokémon TCG Pocket, possibly featuring trainers in more dynamic poses to maintain viewer interest.
