Behaviour Interactive has officially unveiled an exciting crossover featuring Dead by Daylight and the acclaimed Resident Evil series. This thrilling collaboration, set to take place from February 10 to February 25, will introduce well-loved characters from the Resident Evil universe, along with a newly designed map and innovative gameplay elements that align with the themes of survival horror.
In Dead by Daylight, players engage in a gripping multiplayer experience consisting of 4v1 matches wherein one individual assumes the role of a killer, while the remaining four strive to elude capture. The game previously featured villains from various horror genres, ranging from supernatural beings to infamous slasher characters, each endowed with distinct abilities that pose unique challenges for survivors. The game’s dark atmosphere and engaging mechanics have made it a fitting candidate for crossovers with different horror franchises such as Alien, Child’s Play, Ghost Face, and now Resident Evil.

Throughout this event, players can immerse themselves in a dynamic 2v8 mode featuring iconic antagonists such as Nemesis and the Mastermind. Each of these formidable killers possesses unique powers to disturb the survivors, who can only counteract these effects with a singular antidote found in Supply Crates. In homage to the classic Resident Evil franchise, the introduction of Herbs as healing items adds a clever twist to the gameplay. Various herb types scattered across the 2v8 map will serve to offer restorative benefits against damage sustained during matches. As an added challenge, killers have the ability to destroy these herbs, increasing tension between the competing teams.
In addition to gameplay features, the crossover will introduce an array of new cosmetics inspired by Resident Evil. Players can expect to see outfits like Nemesis’s classic look from the original Resident Evil 3 (1999) and the New Dawn outfit from the Resident Evil 4 remake for the Mastermind, alongside fresh designs for the survivors. With the crossover event just days away, both Resident Evil aficionados and Dead by Daylight fans have plenty to anticipate starting on February 10, 2025.
