Capcom Extends Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Duration

In response to recent technical issues with the PlayStation Network, Capcom has decided to extend the second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds scheduled for February 2025. Originally, this session was meant to conclude on February 16, 2025; however, it will now last an additional day, ending on February 17, 2025. This adjustment ensures that all players, particularly those on PS5, can partake in the experience despite the earlier disruptions.

Revised Schedule for the Open Beta

Below is a comparison of the initial schedule and the revised timeline for the open beta:

• Previous Schedule: Begins on February 13, 2025, at 7 PM PT (10 PM ET) and concludes on February 16, 2025, at 6:59 PM PT (9:59 PM ET).
• Revised Schedule: Now starts at the same time on February 13, 2025, but will wrap up on February 17, 2025, at 6:59 PM PT (9:59 PM ET).

What’s New in the Beta

Capcom has also released an updated infographic detailing the beta changes. Notably, players can now enjoy crossplay functionality without needing Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus, enhancing accessibility across platforms.

Character Progression Carryover

Players who create a character during this beta will retain their design for the final game. All you need to do is set up your avatar within the beta, save your progress, and play briefly. However, it’s important to note that design codes created during the beta phase will not transfer to the full version of the game.

Upcoming Release Details

Monster Hunter Wilds is slated for release on February 28, 2025, across multiple platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Additionally, a Benchmark Tool is now available on Steam for PC users to assess performance.
