A few weeks back, I learned for the first time that World of Warships kinda has a player housing system. It’s not really housing, more like a battle pass with a player-owned-zone veneer, or as much of one you could have in a game about boats. It’s basically a dockyard you can build up and then use to build out ships. It was actually a pic of the newish decade dock port that caught my eye, though I guess since you’re not a person, you don’t really move around inside of it. In any case, I was shocked any of this existed since it’s not an MMO I play.

I thought this was particularly interesting in light of a recent fan video I saw that suggested a different MMO’s new housing “crushes the competition,” which of course it does not, as any Star Wars Galaxies, EverQuest II, RIFT, or WildStar fan can tell you. The point is that there are and have been lots of MMOs out there, and many of them have systems you probably don’t know about, including housing systems.

So tell me about some of them. Which MMORPG has the most underrated housing system?
