Soul Cultivation Paths

Joining a path grants you unique buffs, but also some potential debuffs.

Demon Paths

Demons obtain Bloodstones for cultivation, increasing your Qi, Breakthrough Speed, and HP. Members of this path have +1.5x HP and +1.25x DMG, making them formidable in battle. You can increase your HP even more by having a negative reputation.

However, your Qi is 0.75x and your Breakthrough Speed is a low 0.75x. You also earn +1.25x Spirit Stones!

  • Abyssal Demon
    • 1x HP
    • 1.5x Spirit Stones
  • Merciless Demon
    • 1.4x HP
    • 0.75x DMG

Celestial Paths

Being a part of the Celestial Path in general grants you a 1.25x Foundation boost and a Breakthrough boost of 1.25x. You earn more Qi by cultivating for a longer period, and your Mastery increases substantially if you have a highly positive reputation.

  • Ethereal Celestial
    • 1x Breakthrough Speed
    • 1.25x HP
  • Divine Celestial
    • 1.5x Breakthrough Speed
    • 0.75x HP

Beast Paths

Players on the Beast Path obtain a Beast Core, which you can take to Mei in the Starter Village to earn additional Qi. Beast players can buff themselves with herbs too! The Harvesting speed increases by 1.5x, and your DMG is set at 0.5x. Plus, the amount of Spirit Stones you earn is set at 0.75x and your HP at 0.5x.

  • Primal Beast
    • 0.7x HP
    • 1.15x Spirit Stones
  • Feral Beast
    • 1.1x HP
    • 0.85x Spirit Stones

Buffs Explained

  • Spirit Stone
    • The higher the number, the more Spirit Stones you obtain through defeating enemies and completing quests
    • Your Qi multiplies by 0.01 per Spirit Stone
  • Breakthrough
    • A Breakthrough happens when you increase your Qi or Body rank. By increasing the speed, you rank up much quicker!
  • HP
    • Your character’s total health. The more HP you have, the less likely you are to be defeated quickly
  • DMG
    • The amount of DMG you inflict upon an enemy. The higher your DMG output, the more powerful you are in battle, depleting the enemy’s HP bar much faster

How to Join a Path

When you first make a character in Soul Cultivation, you randomly join a path. If you’re not happy with the path, you can speak to Mei in the Starter Village to change to one of the others. The only downside to this is that your Foundation is reset, which means your Qi obtainment is lowered for a while.
