Not Enough Shikai EXP Type Soul Guide

When choosing the Soul Reaper lineage, you’ll need EXP to grade up, and you have to reach Grade 2 to automatically be assigned your Shikai. To reach Grade 2 as a Trainee, you’ll need to perform successful Division and regular Missions for EXP. When at Grade 2, you cannot grade any higher until you defeat your inner world Shikai. This is typically where the Not Enough Shikai message begins to pop up.

Ideally, you’ll meditate in sessions and then fight your Shikai. But this isn’t possible if the game prevents you and claims you don’t have enough EXP. Here is how to fix it:

Grade 2 Shikai

To begin the Shikai quest, meditate in Soul Society undisturbed 3 times for 20 minutes each time. Thankfully, the game will automatically stand you up after one session. On the fourth mediation, you’ll be transported into a fight against your Shikai, where defeating it will increase your grade. If you lose the fight, wait an hour for a reset or perform a successful grip on a player or Arrancar NPC to auto-reset.

Still Not Working?

If you still get the not enough Shikai EXP message, the game is simply yet unfortunately experiencing bugs. Remember that you must be a Grade 2 to meditate and perform a meditation three times over for the game to generate enough Shikai EXP. Succeeding will allow you to become a Semi-grade 1 and eventually an Elite Grade Soul Reaper using a mix of Raid, Grip Shikai, Missions and Divisions EXP.
