The mysterious Yesteryear Impressions aren’t too obvious from the get-go. Many players wonder what they are and how to use them. They’re often purchasable during events in the event shop and are described in-game as “This shared memory, neither of us missed it. Use to unlock mobile content.” Bit cryptic, right?
What is the Yesteryear Impression Item?
The Yesteryear Impression is an item that you can use to unlock past events that are now no longer available to play through. By utilising the Yesteryear Impression item, you can access previously locked content such as limited-time text messages and Moment posts.
How to Use Yesteryear Impressions
Moment posts and text messages that usually cost 100 Gems cost 2 Yesteryear Impressions. Alternatively, those that cost 150 Gems can be unlocked with 3 Yesteryear Impressions and those that cost 50 Gems require 1 Yesterday Impression.
Unlocking Moment Posts
Open up the in-game phone and look to the top right. If you see a circular icon with two rectangles inside and a padlock, tap on it! A list of missed content then appears, which you can select from.
Unlocking Text Messages
From the in-game phone, open up the text messaging screen. Select the character you want to unlock messages from and then open the chat log by tapping the button in the top right. Tap the Filter button in the top left and change it to ‘Unlock Available’. Choose which text messages you want to unlock!
How to Get Yesteryear Impressions
As mentioned, the Yesteryear Impression item is usually obtainable via the in-game event shops by purchasing them with the special event currency. You earn this currency by playing through the current event, but many players opt to purchase the other limited-time items beforehand. You can access the event shop via the event’s official page in-game or by heading to the general shop page from the main screen.
