Great Rod of Oscar Obtainment

First, head to Forsaken Shores and speak with the Dead Man Joe NPC, who resides up the wooden scaffolding within the cavern area at the centre. He will set you on a quest to retrieve an Amulet, which spawns at the Grand Reef. Fortunately, you don’t need to fish up this item, and it should appear on the main central island within the ruined boat. Coordinates (-3558, 125, 4122).

Return to Dead Man Joe and redeem the quest. Next, head to Oscars Locker. Coordinates (476, 125, 4122). You’ll arrive before a large stone pillar rising from the ocean. Use a submarine or any other diving equipment and take a swim down into the tunnel. Follow it through, and you’ll appear before a green barrier. Use the Amulet to unlock Oscar’s Locker, where you’ll see the rod for sale costing 5,000,000 C$.

Is This Rod Good?

This Rod is great for any player who can afford it and fancies diving to find it. Its high luck and lure speed allow for almost instant catches, great for EXP and cash farming.

Before the Continental Drift update happened, this rod was found in the Second Sea and was one of the most expensive rods to find out there. Some players said that, for its level 100 requirement (to reach the second sea), and hefty price that it wasn’t worth it. However, now that it’s found in the First Sea, despite retaining its high price, this rod has become a meta choice amongst players.
