With the new Fisch Atlantis update trailer, we now have some insight into what to expect when it comes to the interior parts of the upcoming location.
Get ready for the Fisch Atlantis update! Have you caught all of the fish that are part of the Fisch Grand Reef Bestiary yet?
Fisch Atlantis Trailer Explained
Whilst it’s not a full-on trailer, we do see some snippets of the locations we can expect to explore within the new area. As we all know, we can fish on the mysterious Grand Reef island, located behind Forsaken Shores. However, there’s a hole in the ground that we can’t enter, and there are only a small number of fish that are part of the Grand Reef’s Bestiary page.
Dr. Glimmerfin seems to be involved somehow, especially with the swirling waters and the dark thundering clouds that hover above the rocks. What we do know, is that this small island plays a big part in the upcoming location. If you swim underwater, there’s a strange temple door with stone structures and coral around it. However, you can’t walk through it, as boulders are blocking the entrance.
Atlantis Trailer Breakdown
From the trailer, we can see that the underwater location features a temple of sorts, decorated in leaves, and lit by fire torches. There are dark tunnels and intricate stone structures, but where are the pools of water? It could be a situation where we have to unlock additional areas that we can fish in, much like The Depths or the Ancient Archives.
In one of the images, there are thunderbolts etchings on the wall. This may relate to the thunderous clouds that hover above the Grand Reef island. However, some players think that it may have something to do with a potential appearance from Poseidon.
With the Atlantis update taking inspiration from Greek mythology, there are mumblings of relations to Scylla and Charybdis. Both of these creatures are monsters that appear within the ocean. The latter creates whirlpools in the sea, much like the whirlpool that is currently surrounding the Grand Reef.
