Whether you happened upon this grim title or are genuinely curious to find out if it’s possible, I’m here to talk about the recent murmors spreading throughout the 99 Nights community. Can you kill the children in 99 Nights in the Forest? And, if so, how do you do it?

Start playing 99 Nights via Roblox. For more lore on the children, check out our speculative article on whether we think there’s a secret 5th kid in 99 Nights.

The Prologue

99 Nights tasks you and your team to rescue children from bunkers around the hostile-ridden map, and escort them to the safety of your campfire. But some players report a disturbing alternate ending where they instead kill the children for seemingly no reason other than to oppose the one common goal shared by all players globally.

So, where did this come from?

Where The Rumour Began

A 3D-animated video began circling YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, depicting a single player giving a tutorial on how to sacrifice the children. The video (fan-made) showed a rescued child already at camp whilst the player crafted 5 Beartraps.

The player then travelled to the 5-point star summoning circle, assumed to be a cultist structure found randomly spawned in the wilderness of the forest. The player then set a bear trap down on each circle, and the video then shows text reading:

“Something strange has happened at your campfire.”

When the player returns to their camp, the child they rescued is lying dead, their body limp, the same as defeated Cultists. The player then carries the child to show the viewer before the video shortly ends.

Can You Kill The Children in 99 Nights in the Forest?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no, this is all fabricated. You cannot kill the children in 99 Nights in the Forest. The video was a fan-made rumour, created to trick people. 99 Nights does have a lot of secrets, but this isn’t one of them. Plus, isn’t it a little weird to harm defenceless and scared children? The very children you’re embarking on a quest of self-sacrifice to save?
