Anime Vanguards Sprintwagon Versus Takaroda
As a player who has both Sprintwagon and Takaroda, I have some thoughts! They both do the same thing, as in generating Yen during each wave, but there’s one stark difference.
Takaroda has a placement limit of 1, whereas Sprintwagon can be placed onto the field up to 3 times. Now, I will warn you, there’s a bit of maths involved for this one, but I’ll do the difficult part.
The Difference in Yen Generation
Both units generate 250 Yen before any upgrades, which is fair. It’s when you start upgrading that there’s a noticeable disparity between the Yen they accumulate. For example at upgrade 2, Takaroda provides 1.5K Yen, and Sprintwagon provides 1,050 Yen. Not much of a difference though, right?
Move up to upgrade 3, and you’ve got Takaroda pulling in 3K and Sprintwagon with 1.8K (times that by 3 and you’ve got 5.4K Yen). Now we’re starting to see a larger gap! There’s also the fact that Takaroda’s upgrades cap at 6, whereas Sprintwagon only has 4 upgrades in total.
The one benefit of Sprintwagon is that he can be placed down 3 times, but is that enough to match the generated Yen from Takaroda? 3 Sprintwagons at upgrades 2, 3, and 4 certainly make more Yen than a singular Takaroda.
It’s when you get past upgrade 4 (which is where Sprintwagon can no longer be upgraded), that you start to see Takaroda excel. Having a total of 3 Sprintwagons on the field at upgrade 4 generates around 7.65K. But, when Takaroda reaches upgrade 5, he makes 8K per wave. Then, at upgrade 6, the 8K turns into 10K.
So, what’s the point of this analysis? With the maths, it’s obvious that Takaroda is the best when reaching upgrade 5/6. However, Sprintwagon provides some tough competition. He’s also easier to get, with him being an Epic rarity farm unit!
