Do the Anime Vanguards Mounts alter the gameplay in any way? I discuss what they are and how to get them in this guide!

Get your first mount in Anime Vanguards! Another type of flex item that is purely used as a cosmetic is the Anime Vanguard Shiny outfits, which unlock after you evolve an obtained Shiny unit.

Anime Vanguards Mounts

What’s the point of a mount in a tower defense game, I hear you ask? I agree, what is the point? Anime Vanguards has unlockable mounts that serve no other purpose than to be something you use within the lobby.

The only thing they bring to the table is that they increase your speed, which isn’t something that really needs a fix when wandering around the spawn area. They’re more of a flex item than anything.

How to Get Mounts in Anime Vanguards

There are 3 mounts to collect in the game so far, all of which are rewards for completing achievements. At the moment, they all rely on beating certain maps on Nightmare difficulty, so good luck! Having a mount equipped displays that your units are strong enough to deal with some of the toughest battles in the game.

You can play on Nightmare difficulty after unlocking a new act. You don’t need to complete the entirety of a map or even the Normal difficulty of an act to gain access to Nightmare mode. I  recommend making sure your units are strong enough first, otherwise, they’ll get obliterated in combat.

  • Shadow Bear
    • Complete the Disaster in the Double Dungeon achievement set (beat Act 1-6 on Nightmare difficulty)
    • A large bear that emits a blue aura with blue details across its body
  • Flying Nimbus
    • Complete the Trouble on Planet Namak achievement set (beat Act 1-6 on Nightmare difficulty)
    • The Nimbus from the Dragon Ball series!
  • Elder Sage
    • Complete the Raid on Sand Village achievement set (beat Act 1-6 on Nightmare difficulty)
    • A giant toad wearing clothes
