Are Anime Vanguards Ethereal units the Meta? That’s always going to be subjective, but you can’t argue with the fact that the Trait is the strongest in the game!

Can you get an Ethereal unit in Anime Vanguards? Exclusive rarity units work great with this Trait (as long as they’re a DPS). Find out more regarding the item that boosts your Exclusive drop rate chance with our Anime Vanguards Fortune Catalyst guide.

Anime Vanguards Ethereal

The term ‘Ethereal’ references the Trait in Anime Vanguards. You may have seen certain units be labelled with this name, particularly Mythics, Secrets, and Exclusive characters. That’s because it’s one of the best Traits to obtain in the entire game, especially for DPS units.

It practically boosts all of the most important stats for units that focus on dealing as much damage as possible in combat. On the opposite side, a Trait that increases the amount of Yen you earn is best for farm units. It all depends on their role!

In some cases, it’s better than the Monarch Trait (the rarest with a 0.1% drop rate), as it boosts a unit’s stats overall and comes with no disadvantages. Monarch may give you a huge boost of damage to a unit, but they’re now limited to one placement on the field.

How to Get the Ethereal Trait

To get any Trait, you need to roll for them! The Ethereal Trait is no different in this sense. However, it does have a 0.175% chance of dropping, and it’s the second-rarest Trait in the game.

Walk over to the ‘Evolve’ area to speak with the Mandra NPC. This is where you can reroll for new Traits! Select the unit you want to power up and use a Trait Reroll item (it looks like a shard of crystal). All Traits rely on RNG, so you aren’t guaranteed the Ethereal one!

Ethereal Trait Stats

  • The unit’s overall DPS increases by 50%
  • Damage increases by 20%
  • Speed Per Attack decreases by 20%
  • Range increases by 5%
