Now, let’s move on to the guide!
How to Become a Quincy
Firstly, you’ll need to make sure you’ve launched a brand-new character in Type Soul. Walk along the cliffside areas on the map until you spot a tunnel. The tunnel has a floor that resembles ice, so it’s not hard to miss! It’s important to note that this appears randomly, so you may have to wander around a bit until it spawns.
Walk through the tunnel until you reach a snowy castle. There’s a large path that you need to walk along to reach a statue that is holding a sword. Next, you need to interact with the statue and select the “I wish to worship” option.
Please remember that this is irreversible, much like becoming a Hollow and Soul Reaper in the game!
Quincy Skills
Let’s take a closer look at the abilities you obtain when becoming a Quincy.
- Piercing Light – Enlarge your sword and swipe it twice, creating a large pillar of light
- Volley – Shoot an arrow into the air with a bow, the arrows will then shower down onto the enemy for a total of 3 seconds
- Wave Shot – Shoot 5 arrows horizontally (it can also slow enemies down!)
- Slide – An evasive sliding ability that also attacks the enemy with arrows
- Focal Point – Fire an arrow diagonally into the air, it then tracks the nearest enemy before attacking them
- Still Silver – Flip into the air while firing an arrow that guard breaks and attacks the enemy
- Shadow – Shoot out a shadowy projectile that teleports the player to the enemy, which then follows up with a stabbing attack (if the ability lands, you’ll be able to see the Health and Reiatsu of your enemy for a short while!)
- Closer – When you fire the last arrow, it gains the ability to guard break
- Auto Aim – Your arrows track the enemy
