Type Soul Maze Girl
The Maze Girl is a strange entity that appears when you’re wandering through the maze in Hell. To find the maze, you need to reach Ring 3! Before this, you must defeat the boss to obtain Book Fragment 5. Once you have this item, you can continue to the maze.
How to Survive the Maze Girl
To counter the Maze Girl, you need to keep a close eye on what she’s doing when she appears on your screen. If she holds her hands in front of her face, she can’t see you. This means you’re free to explore the maze as much as you want, without worry.
However, once she moves her hands away, and she reveals her creepy eyes, you must cease all movement. As you spot her doing this, keep your character still. Do not walk, run, or turn around. After a few seconds, she covers her eyes again with her hands, which signals that you can continue moving once again.
Now, you need to perfect this skill, as you must find the maze’s exit to continue onwards through Hell. You can’t unlock your True Mode if you can’t get out of the maze! There’s also the Bamboo Hat Man NPC that you can find within the maze, who offers a random Vow in exchange for a boss fight. You have to win the battle, of course.
Reaching the exit of the maze means you can teleport to the Library, which is the next part of Hell. If the Maze Girl catches you, your HP depletes, but she doesn’t instantly kill you, at least. The main advice that players share is to keep to the left of the maze as much as possible when searching for the exit gate.
