Type Soul Essences Tier List
Essences are a good way to boost your character depending on which faction you’re part of. Arrancars, Quincies and Soul Reapers have their own essences, but some can be universally used by all! Naturally, there may be cases where the strongest essences are tied to a certain faction. To find out more about what the essences are and what they do, read our Type Soul Essences guide.
S Tier
The best essences to collect and use in Type Soul!
- Shattered Comet
- Quincy essence
- A fantastic AoE Reiatsu ability that gives you control of the battlefield
- Bala Fireworks
- Arrancar essence
- Another AoE ability that attacks multiple enemies at once in projectile-form
A Tier
Combining these essences with those above in the S tier is a surefire way of dominating the PvP battlefield.
- Territorial Mark
- Available for all factions
- Marks the enemy, allowing you to only deal damage to them, and vice versa
- Unseen Blade
- Available for all factions
- A flash step with a knockback!
- Fusion Essence
- Arrancar essence
- This applies to both your M1 and M2! It works best with True Vastocars
B Tier
These essences are nothing notable. They’re good at what they do but lacklustre when you look at the essences above!
- Horizon Core
- Available for all factions
- Cause the enemy to ragdoll
- Teppusatsu
- Soul Reaper essence
- A giant beam of Reiatsu, what’s not to love?
- Partial Essence
- Arrancar essence
- Grants 3 Partial skills
C Tier
If you obtain some of these essences from Clan Wars and Ranked Matches, you can use them, but just don’t expect much.
- Gran Raikoho
- Soul Reaper essence
- Stuns the enemy and knocks them back – can also attack multiple enemies!
- Crazed Blitz
- Available for all factions
- A Hyper Armor Grab!
D Tier
The weakest essences that are more or less useless.
- Nothing to see here!
