Get a new high score using my guide that details the cheapest and best 99 Nights in the Forest AFK Base, including all materials, costs, and how to build the most ironclad AFK sanctuary.

Start building your base via Roblox. For more like this, check out my guide on how long it takes to complete 99 Nights in the Forest.

Before You Can Safely AFK

Before creating your AFK chamber, you need to play some of the game to ensure your survival and safety while you’re idle. This includes rescuing all the children, crafting all the beds, and prestiging the campfire to level 5 or 6.

Each child increases the day counter by 1, as do the beds. This helps you surpass day 99 quicker and therefore achieve a higher score from your AFK base. As for the campfire, you want it on a high level so that it takes longer to extinguish whilst you’re AFK. To keep it going longer, I recommend setting up an Oil Rig with the barrel exit facing the fire, so that it automatically refuels every couple of days.

The Best 99 Nights in the Forest AFK Base

Itemary List

  • Farm Plot: x1
    • Cost: 10 Wood
  • Wood Rain Storage: x2
    • Cost: 5 Scrap per (10 total)
  • Crock Pot: x1
    • Cost: 15 Wood and 10 Scrap
  • Wood Fence: x4 (OPTIONAL)
    • Cost: 12 Wood per (48 total)
  • TOTAL MATERIAL COST: 73 Wood + 20 Scrap (not including bench upgrades)

Note: I also recommend getting a Hammer if possible, either via the Anvil or a Class, as otherwise you’ll remain locked inside your AFK room! The point is to stack days and stay alive and safe, so it will permanently trap you if you’re not prepared.

How To Build

Start by placing your X1 Farm Plot where you want your AFK Chamber to be. In the centre of that farm plot, place X1 Crock Pot. This acts as a food source to help keep your saturation fuller whilst you’re AFK. The idea here is that carrots will feed into the pot to give you stew. You may need to collect carrots for a few days to stock up before the pot begins autocrafting Stew.

Next, place your X2 Wood Rain Storages facing inwards on each other, completely encasing your farm. This creates a small but reliable shed-like hut that keeps mobs out and you in! This is the part where you’re trapped eternally unless you have a hammer to escape.

As for the Wooden Fences, if you want to include these for extra protection, line the outside of your storage hut house to create even more distance between you and the wilderness. You’ll need to do this before fully encasing yourself inside the hut, so be careful with overlapping.

Are There Better Options?

Yes! This guide simply details the cheapest way (I know of) to create an ironclad AFK base. The idea is to stock as many days as possible to achieve a new high score, so functionality wasn’t my goal when creating this walkthrough. If you want to make a less jail-like AFK base, then by all means, have fun.
