ToD, WhO, Moon and Lyn could advance from today's group phase.
Group A housed the three Eruopeans as well as the ESWC champion WhO.
ToD took the early command in the group, defeating both HoT and WhO in his first two matches, both in a clear 2-0 manner.
ToD's former team mate Grubby had a tougher time, who lost to HoT and WhO in his first rounds. But Grubby managed to defeat the Frenchman in the last round, where ToD went off-race. But little did it matter, as ToD advanced anyway.
Lyn and Moon was able to swipe the two playoff spots in the all-Korean group. The group opened with ReMinD grabbing a 2-1 victory over Check. ReMinD's team mate Lyn had a tougher start, losing to Moon in his first game.
The second round gave Lyn the most needed win. A 2-0 in the box against ReMinD, and could later see Moon losing to Check which made the group totally open for the last round.
In the third round, Lyn brought his A game and took down Check by a 2-0 win. This placed Lyn on top of the group, and could sit and wait for ReMinD and Moon to finish their game to know who would follow him to the playoffs.
And it turned out to be Moon, who won after a computer glitch on ReMinD's computer in the third game, reports SK-Gaming. The win was given to Moon, and MYM's poster boy could advance to the playoff.
