In a tournament which many expect Korean and Chinese players to dominate, Lucifron managed to pull off win after win to claim his first major title, knocking out Lyn in the final with a solid 2-0 performance.
Pedro 'Lucifron' Moreno Durán achieved no easy feat, progressing from a group which contained Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li, Daniel 'XlorD' Spenst and June 'Lyn' Park. He then went on to defeat Chinese players Xiang 'TH000' Huang and Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu in the playoffs to reach the Grand Final
The tournament held some upsets with both favorites, Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen and Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li going down early without managing a win and Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin eliminating Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang in straight games, wrecking any hopes for the Korean on reaching the finals.
With three Orcs taking the top three and the scene being heavily dominated by the Orc race, some of the community is claiming the game is very unbalanced. Is it really a matter of balance or is it just the time of the Orc?
ESWC Cheonan Final Standings

2. June 'Lyn' Park - $4,000
3. Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu - $1,000
