The rising Spanish player Pedro Moreno "LucifroN" Durán has taked down the Polish Night Elf Przemek "Paladyn" Wadon to win the 68th edition of ZOTAC cup.
In top 8 of this week's cup nicknames like WinNers, LucifroN, LiiLD.C and Paladyn shone the brightest. Surprisingly, the top Korean Night Elf WinNers was eliminated in the quarter finals with a flat 0-2 score by Paladyn. Paladyn eventually made his way to the final going through TWiN in the semi finals.
In the other semi final we saw the silver medalist from BlizzCon and winner of the King of Kings Championship LucifroN defeat the Swedish Night Elf star LiiLD.C by a 2-1 score. And LucifroN did not stop there, as he steamrolled Paladyn in the final, winning by a clear 3-0.
First game was played out on Twisted Meadows. Paladyn went Demon Hunter and Keeper of the Groove plus bears, but LucifroN countered the Night Elf army well with his grunts, raiders, walkers and kodo beasts, supported by the Blademaster and the Shadow Hunter. The first game ended as Paladyn took battle at LucifroN's base, with very little effect.
Second game, and the same heroes. However, the nGize Spaniard went for War Mill instead of teching to tier 2, opting for a tower rush. Paladyn took the Pandaren Brewmaster for a second hero and built two Ancients of War, after LucifroN had destroyed the first one. A well-performed tower rush gave LucifroN the game, killing Paladyn's heroes three times. With too many towers, the Pole saw the end and typed out.
Third game, Paladyn used a different strategy by taking the Beastmaster as first and only hero. He built two Ancients of War and produced huntresses. The Polish Night Elf tried to expand twice, but both times LucifroN's Blademaster was there to stop him. Paladyn remained at tier 1 the whole game, and even thought he managed hold LucifroN back a short while, his tier 1 army was no match for the strong Orc army along with the Shadow Hunter.
Another 100 Euros going down the pocket for LucifroN, winning his third ZOTAC Cup title.
